About the event

Can we really teach children fundamental music concepts and elementary notation through play?

Early years educator and Vocalist Crisel Consunji leads an interactive parent and child workshop in two parts.

Part One allows participants to test key skills they would need prior to learning formal vocal and instrument play. Whether it is pattern recognition or physical coordination, have a hands on experience in understanding the prerequisite musical skills.

Part Two brings children on a journey to “sing a story.” Creating simple building blocks in learning intervals for singing and instrument play, adults and children alike are invited to embark on an imaginative way to “play” music— with vocals, and on a glockenspiel, using a Kindermusik-based program.
